The club was formed in 1994 by three founder members, Patrick McCaffrey, Paul Nicholas and Nigel Godwin
|
The club name is taken because it was initially for youngsters from the south side of Cheltenham. The first training session was held at Benhall Infants School but due to the increasing need for extra space and the sheer amount of boys (80+), it meant that we had to move the training to Lakeside School who also kindly offered us the use of their football pitch for when we entered the league at under 10's level. The first season we had one boy James M c Caffrey who was selected for the interleague.

The 1999-2000 season gave us new entries of two U9's sides and gave us our first bit of silverware thanks to the U13's winning the cup at 'the Robins' 3-2 against Churchdown Panthers.

This season 2006-2007 we will have no less than 21 teams playing football in Cheltenham and Gloucester. We have had and still have through the club setup tremendous support from all the parents and assistants who give up their time to promote youth football and ensure that the boys and now also girls get the maximum possible enjoyment out of their game.
